Summer Concert

Aug 15, 2024

The concert that took place two weeks ago was truly unforgettable. It was a full house with nearly 150 people. Personally, I really enjoy concerts of this scale because the atmosphere is warm, and there isn’t a great sense of distance between me and the audience.

At the after-concert reception, when I’m at my most relaxed, I always hold a glass of wine and mingle with everyone, chatting and connecting.

Unforgettable moment 1: An elderly lady shook my hand and then took out an old-fashioned phone to note down the date, time, and location of my next concert.

Unforgettable moment 2: A lady said, “You played all the music from your heart, I can feel it, totally.”

Unforgettable moment 3: Another lady said, “What is the name of the second song? I will never, never forget it.”

Musicians are often extremely judgmental about their own performances, but given how sincere these people were—especially considering they are Swiss (known for their straightforwardness)—I believe this concert was indeed a good one.
